Getting a good security camera is only step ONE

You've gone and bought a new camera, likely because of an incident on your property.  But there's several factors that you should consider before putting it on the wall and hoping for the best.

Is your camera facing the sun or a security light? 

Is your camera pointing at the best possible places to catch a criminal?

The camera above is located in a pretty good spot, but if you consider the camera to be a 'net', you want to cast it over the appropriate area as much as possible. In this example, a great deal of the 'net' is up in the trees.

Bad image compression. Is your data rate and resolution correct for your situation?
